Is solid polycarbonate really as durable as they say?
Without exaggeration, yes. At the same thickness, it is roughly 200 times more impact-resistant than ordinary glass. It is practically impossible to break under normal mechanical stress, making it a clear winner for machine safety guards, security window glazing, or stadium partitions.
Will plastic ruin the appearance if I use it instead of glass?
Not at all. Solid polycarbonate has top-tier optical clarity and transmits light almost as well as glass. Unlike glass, however, it is much lighter, meaning you will exert less effort during installation and won't need such robust supporting structures.
What about sheet processing – can I drill into it?
That is one of its greatest advantages. Unlike plexiglass, which can crack with careless drilling, solid polycarbonate is tough and flexible. You can drill into it, cut it with a fine-toothed saw, or even cold-bend it into an arch without risking damage.
Will the material yellow after a few years in the sun?
Our sheets feature double-sided UV protection, shielding them from aging and degradation caused by solar radiation. The material remains clear and flexible for many years, whether you use it for a roadside noise barrier or as entrance door glazing.
