What is the difference between silicone and PVC Flex Neon?
Silicone neons are the market leaders—they are highly flexible, perfectly resistant to UV radiation (do not yellow in the sun), and withstand extreme frosts and high temperatures effortlessly. PVC variants are more budget-friendly and ideal for interiors or less demanding outdoor installations, but silicone offers a longer lifespan and premium durability.
Can I cut Flex Neon to my desired length myself?
Yes, flex neons can be easily cut to size along marked cutting lines (usually every few centimeters). After cutting, however, it is essential to ensure proper waterproof sealing—attach an end cap and seal it with special silicone adhesive to prevent moisture from leaking inside.
What voltage do Flex Neons use and what power supply do I need?
Most of our Flex Neons operate on a safe low voltage of 12V or 24V DC. To operate them, you will strictly need a matching LED power supply (transformer). Remember to factor in a 20% power reserve for the power supply so it doesn't constantly run at maximum capacity.
Can Flex Neon be controlled and dimmed?
Definitely! For single-color (mono) neons, you can connect a standard dimmer with a remote control or wall controller to adjust the light intensity to your mood. If you choose an RGB or RGBW variant, you also gain the ability to smoothly change colors and create lighting effects using a smart controller.
