Aluminium sandwich panels (ACP – Aluminium Composite Panels) BOND and Debond, which are often searched for on the market under the umbrella term “dibond panels”, are a modern, highly durable material. Structurally, they consist of two thin aluminium sheets and an inner LDPE core (as standard with fire reaction class E). Thanks to this sandwich structure, they offer a unique combination of light weight, strength and perfect flatness that ordinary materials cannot match.

Main advantages and properties of bond panels:

  • Extreme durability: The surface of the panels is protected by a high-quality varnish (often with a polyester PES coating) which perfectly resists UV radiation and weather conditions. The panels boast high temperature stability from -50 °C to +80 °C.
  • Dimensional stability and strength: Despite their very low weight, the panels have high bending and breaking strength. They do not warp, do not yellow, and dampen vibrations excellently (no additional anti-vibration treatments are necessary).
  • Ecology: The material is fully recyclable.

A wide range of colours for every project
In this category, you will find single-colour panel variants that serve as a universal base for advertising and construction projects:

  • Standard shades according to the RAL colour chart.
  • Available in matte and glossy finishes (for glossy variants, it is always specified which side is glossy).
  • The front (visible) side is always protected by a transport foil, while the reverse side is typically treated with a primer intended for further modifications.

Easy processing and unlimited mounting possibilities
The surface of classic ACP bonds is perfectly smooth, making it perfectly prepared for direct digital printing, advertising printing, screen printing, varnishing, and foil wrapping. The material can be easily mechanically modified by:

  • Cutting and formatting
  • Routing (including V-grooves for easy bending into 3D shapes)
  • Rolling and drilling

Connecting the panels is possible in many ways:

  • Popular interlocking (a system of folding bonds into each other)
  • Gluing
  • Riveting
  • Screwing
  • Using aluminium profiles

Practical applications
From signmaking to construction. Thanks to their versatility and clean single-colour design, these panels find wide application across industries:

  • Advertising and signmaking: Advertising signs and pylons, information boards, POP displays, gas station totems, exhibition stands, 3D illuminated letters, and mechanically extremely stressed advertisements.
  • Construction and design: Building cladding and facade collars, balcony and fence panels, interior sides of walls and cells, planter cladding, or machine covers.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

What are aluminum composite sheets and where are they most commonly used?
Aluminum composite panels (ACP), also known under the brands Debond or Dibond, consist of two aluminum layers and a polyethylene core. Due to their low weight and high rigidity, they are ideal for the production of advertising signs, nameplates, and aesthetic facade cladding in modern construction.

What are the processing options for ACP and Debond sheets?
These sheets can be easily cut on a panel saw, drilled, or milled using CNC machines to create precise atypical shapes. A major advantage is the possibility of technical routing (V-grooving), which allows the sheets to be easily bent to create 3D objects such as lightboxes or facade cassettes.

Are these composite sheets suitable for long-term outdoor installations?
Yes, aluminum sandwiches are extremely resistant to UV radiation, rain, and extreme temperature fluctuations, so they do not corrode outdoors and retain their shape. For maximum stability and lifespan of facade elements, we recommend choosing sheets with an aluminum wall thickness of 0.3 mm or more.

What color variants and surface finishes do you have in stock?
We offer a wide palette of colors ranging from standard white and black to metallic RAL shades and luxury surfaces in brushed silver or gold. Most sheets are coated with a quality varnish or a special primer, ensuring perfect adhesion for digital printing or self-adhesive film application.
