FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
What is 6 mm plexiglass most commonly used for?
Thanks to its thickness, it is great for partition walls, door infills, or as protection for exhibition items in galleries. It is rigid enough not to bend while maintaining crystal clarity even when installed in larger frames.
How should I maintain it to avoid scratching the surface?
It is best to use only lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth. Definitely avoid aggressive chemicals containing alcohol, which could create tiny cracks on the surface and reduce the material's gloss.
Can I secure the sheet using screws?
Yes, drilling into a 6 mm clear plexiglass sheet is straightforward if you use a sharp drill bit and don't apply too much force. Always drill a bit away from the edge and make the hole about a millimeter larger so the material has room to "work" with temperature changes.
Can this plexiglass remain permanently outdoors?
Rest assured, our sheets are fully UV-stable, meaning sun, rain, or frost won't harm them. Even after years in direct sunlight, the material will remain clear, won't become brittle, and will retain its original mechanical strength and flexibility.
