Product detailed description
Monolith 342-1 is a two component, methacrylate reinforcing glue developed for structural joining of metals, thermoplastics and mixed materials. Mixed at a ratio of 10: 1, it can be opened for 4 to 6 minutes and the handling time is 25 minutes.
Monolith 342-1 is designed for metals and mixed materials that are applied in the transport industry as it allows application to problematic surfaces. In addition, this product provides a unique combination of high strength, damage resistance, excellent fatigue resistance, exceptional shock resistance and high quality hardness. Monolith 342-1 is supplied in blue in a ready-to-use cartridge or in a 20 liter canister and can be distributed using a gel using standard mixing and measuring equipment.

MANIPULATION
MONOLITH 342-1 is flammable. It contains a mathacrylate ester. Upholstery after use. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. After contact with skin, wash the affected area with soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse eyes for 15 minutes with water and seek immediate medical attention. Ingestion is very dangerous. Avoid contact with children. Do not be near heat or naked flame.
If a large amount of material is mixed at the same time, a large amount of heat is released. Heat is created due to exothermic reactions from mixing a large amount of glue, and air bubbles, vapors and volatile gases can develop. We will prevent it if we mix only the quantity we are using to make and fill holes no larger than 8mm.
The best way is to apply the adhesive directly from the product container.
SURFACE TREATMENT
The surface should be clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease and water. Adhesive can also be used for surfaces in poor condition. It should avoid application to the surface contaminated, which could reduce the possibility of poor quality.
MONOLITH 342-1 can be applied either manually or via an automatic device. The automatic application can be great with a choice of 10 to 1 mixing-measuring devices delivering both components to the mixer. For information on mixing and measuring equipment contact Dencop Lighting. Both the measuring vessels and the handgun with which the glue is applied are available. To achieve maximum bond strength, the surfaces must be bonded during a given working time. Use a sufficient amount of material to completely fill the joint once the parts have been joined and pressed together. All adhesive applications, parts placement and fastening should take place before the opening time has elapsed. After working time, the parts must remain intact until the handling time is reached. The automated device should be constructed of stainless steel or aluminum. Avoid contact with copper or media alloys of all equipment, pumps, etc. The joints and seals should be made of Teflon, Teflon coated with PVC foam, ethylene / propylene or polyethylene. Avoid using Viton, BUNAN, Neoprene or other elastomers on joints and seals. Cleaning is easier before the adhesive hardens. For best results we can use cleaning agents and degreasers with Citrus terpene or A-methylene. If the adhesive is already hardened, it can be carefully scraped off and then wiped with solvent, which is the most effective method of cleaning. For proper vulcanization, the ambient temperature must be between 18 ° C and 26 ° C. Temperatures below 18 ° C cause slower vulcanization, and the temperature above 26 ° C, in turn, accelerates color vulcanization to change. The fluidity of parts A and B of this adhesive depends on the temperature. To ensure consistent adhesion, glue and activator should be maintained at constant activation temperature throughout the year.
Approximately 24m of glue (caterpillar) can be pushed out of one tube.
CLEANING:
To clean the damp adhesive, use common cleaning agents. After drying, the adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
STORAGE:
The storage life of Monolith 342-1 is 6 months after delivery from Dencopu Lighting. Storage life is based on storage at a temperature of 12 ° C and 23 ° C. Impinging temperatures as high as 23 ° C could reduce storage life. We should avoid long-term exposure of activators in the reservoir, temperature above 37 degrees quickly shortens the reaction time. The shelf life can be extended by cooling (7 ° C to 12 ° C). These products should never be frozen.
COMMENT:
- Dencop Lighting strongly recommends to test adhesive strength under expected operating conditions to determine the accuracy of adhesive hold
- Open time: The maximum time from application to drying of the adhesive. The time elapsed between combining and mixing parts A and B, and the time when the glue is no longer used. At 23 ° C.
- Manipulation time: The time interval for which the surfaces will be joined. Carries 1 kg of dead weight to 12.7 mm overlapping coverage of 25.4 mm wide without further movement. At 23 ° C.
- The chemical stability of the adhesive depends on several elements: temperature, concentration, adhesive thickness, and drying times. Chemical stability assumes exposure under defined ambient conditions
All the information in this manual is based on laboratory testing and is recommended for design purposes. Dencop Lighting makes no warranties for the dates listed in this manual. Dencop Lighting can not be held responsible for the results of using this adhesive.
3D glue Monolith 342-1 is applied with 3D mixer and gun. After each use, the mixer must be replaced.
