Aluminum boxes can be for three types of display media: Plexiglass, Banner, or Kedr. In this article, we would like to discuss all types of Plexiglass ads. All the profiles sold by us are in the same color, namely silver anodized and are manufactured in 6 meters length.

The difference with the plastic profiles is that the profiles are divided into single-sided and double-sided. And also each profile width has two profile designs. And that is fixed and slideable.

But now let's start from the beginning. Single sided profiles are those whose backs are on the wall and shine from one side only. For this we can use profiles with widths of 72 mm, 80 mm, 110 mm, 120 mm and 130 mm.

Double-sided profiles are used for so-called projections, where the boxes are attached sideways to the wall and shine from both sides. For this application, profiles are available in widths of 80 mm, 120 mm, 140 mm, 150 mm and 156 mm. They can be distinguished from single-sided ones by the fact that the sensing profile has frames on both sides.

Furthermore, pay attention to the design of the individual profiles. All the others have a double-broken frame at the front, while the 130 mm and 156 mm profiles have the peculiarity of being radiused and can be accompanied by a radius corner.

 
Now let's go through the folding technology. The main idea is that the three sides are always made of a solid profile. By solid profile you mean a profile with grooves for the plexiglass and for the DEbond on the back. It is impossible to make both plexiglass and DEbond through this solid profile. The fourth side is then always the slide side and the slide frame belongs to it. Imagine the scanning profile as just a slot for the back for the DEbond. So you can't take the back out and you have to insert it into the box before attaching the last side. Because the slide profile does not have a groove for the plexiglass, you can only insert the plexiglass after you have the box completely assembled and just soldered it with the slide frame. This will make it easier to assemble the box and also to service or replace the graphics (plexiglass) in the future.

Of course all profiles come with back brackets, corners, screws, mounts for double-sided ejectors, couplers and many other accessories.
The advantage over plastic profiles is that aluminium profiles are much stronger and more stable. As far as the dimensions are concerned, you are no longer limited by the strength of the profile, but rather only by the size of the plexiglass and its possible sagging. The maximum length for which we recommend profiles is 6 metres. For this reason we have a maximum plexiglass dimension of 6 metres. Of course, you could have a box longer than that, we have connectors for the profiles, but there is already a limit in the form of the thermal expansion of the plexiglass. The ideal is to count on a plexiglass expansion of 5 mm per linear meter. And cut the plexiglass smaller enough accordingly. For the back, our DEbond boards have proven to be the best.

 
For the illumination of single-sided profile panels up to 100 mm, we recommend our popular DXS 2.8W LED sidelight module series. These LED modules can be used in both single and double sided advertising.

For profiles larger than 100mm wide, we recommend our DX3 type modules with 0.72W and 160 degree angle for single sided designs. For double-sided ones we recommend the DXS LED sidelight modules. Up to an advertising width of 60 cm, 1.5W modules are sufficient, above this width we recommend 3.0W LED modules.
Furthermore, as a novelty, which is already expanding very quickly in light advertising, are modules for 230V. Here you still save money for the power supply, for mounting and reduce the weight and failure rate of the advertising.

The DNH 3.0W side LED modules are directly equivalent to the DXS 3.0W modules. Both types of modules are recommended for illuminated signs with a minimum depth of 100 mm and their payback is best when the width of the sign exceeds 60 cm. The advantage is also that you don't have to hide a transformer anywhere inside the box, which could cast shadows in your advertisement.
